The purchase of a property in Spain is relatively simple and need not be stressful. Unlike buying in the UK, the process here can take days rather than months.
Firstly, you need visit with us and have a good look at the area and properties. Remember, the best property in the world is no good if you do not like the area! To reserve the property you wish to purchase, you will need to pay a 3,000 euros holding deposit. If you do not do this, the property will more than likely be sold when you go back. Please be aware that this deposit is non-refundable. However, Spanish Freedom have a unique offer, where you can use the 3,000 euros on another of our properties, should you have to pull out.
After paying your deposit, you will be required to sign a very basic contract, which secures your property and deposit. The main contract will then be posted to you normally within 2-3 weeks, at which time your first payment will become due. Depending on the builder, this payment would normaly be around 35% of the purchase price although some will accept as low as 20%. You can then sit back and relax until the completion date.

We will keep you informed with progress pictures of your new property, usually via e-mail. On completion, we will go with you to the notaria to sign your title deeds and help with translation. This is also when you pay your balance.
